There are many ways one can interpret the Flow. It brings to mind first and foremost the Creative Flow. Aromatherapy can be a great tool for unleashing the creative juices. Being an artist and a writer most of my life, I have struggled with blocked creativity more than once or twice. Lately, it has become a monthly struggle, when the deadline hits for this illustrious publication that I have been writing for the past few months. I find myself wondering each month, what can I write about this month. Aromatherapy is such a vast subject that traverses the realm of healing, to love and prosperity. Depending on which school of Aromatherapy that you might follow, or what you might choose to believe, there are any number of uses for most of the Essential Oils and Herbs that are readily available to the public these days.We all work differently as artists. For some of us, we need the stimulus of outside noise and distraction. For others, supreme peace and quiet is in order. Relaxation and meditation may help to clear the mind of unproductive thoughts and help us to focus on the flow of the subject at hand. I became trained, a few years ago, to write in any circumstance, noisy or quiet, by hand or on the computer. When the words come, it is necessary to let them follow their own course and not try to lead them. Creativity is often something that can not be forced, but I do believe that any creative person can train himself or herself to be better at their craft and to work under varied circumstances.
Burning incense can be a great way to clear the mind, cleanse the soul and prepare the way for the flow of creative energy. I like to burn Herbal Incense with a good clean fresh scent, something that is invigorating. Benzoin Gum, Vervain and Cinquefoil make a great blend for Creative Success. St. Johns Wort, which I have written about in previous articles is great for lifting the spirit, combined with Pennyroyal and Gentian, the three together are great for filling your being with powerful vibrations. Mayan Copal is another very empowering Herbal Incense. Eyebright helps to clear the mind, and burning Rosemary is said to bring answers to questions. A combination of Eyebright, Acacia Gum, Rosemary and Bistro becomes a potent Mind Power Incense. Pure Herbal Incense is by far the highest quality Incense you can burn.
A cleansing Herbal Bath goes a long way to clear the mind. I like to use Prosperity Herbal Bath for clearing the mind and stimulating creativity. Many of the Herbs in Prosperity Bath are great for unleashing creativity, including Vervain, Vetivert and Cinquefoil. Lavender can be very stimulating to some, as well as very relaxing. A bath in Lavender Herb may serve a helpful purpose also, as will a bath in Vervain or Cinquefoil Herbs. Herbal Baths should be used like a tea, and allowed to steep in a hot tub. Like pure Herbal Incense, they provide unsurpassed Aromatherapy qualities. Honeysuckle, Heliotrope, Vetivert, Orange and Lilac Essential Oils are all great for increasing mind power as well as creative energy. Essential Oils for meditation as well as increasing clairvoyant powers can also be helpful in the realm of creativity. For that purpose, I would look towards Essential Oils such as Myrrh, Frankincense, Sandalwood, Wisteria and Magnolia. Vanilla Essential Oil is also superb for increasing mind power.
It is said that we all have the power within us to create. Each of us has that ability, it is whether or not we choose to look at that and unleash it. The creative flow comes to each of us in different ways and different forms. We all have the Gift. It is the gift of the Higher Power within. Let the Gift with in you flow, like a river to the sea. Choose to be all that you can be. Make each day a day for expression of your inner self, your soul and watch the creativity within you soar.
