To Love And Be Loved, February 1999

I have recently split with the man I regard as the love of my life my soul mate.
It is a very difficult period of my life, so I am turning to Yoga and meditation to try and discover myself again.

However, many readings will inform you that you should only love yourself as this is the only true love. How my heart sank. I know that you should love yourself, as how can you
expect others to love you if you don't. But, these readings made me feel that there is never any point to loving again as 'thats not true love'.

Maybe I am an old romantic but companionship and love are the most wonderful gifts given to us by the Universe and your article fills me with the hope that others share my thoughts and that we do not have to only accept our love but are allowed to accept and enjoy the love of another.
